Frequently Asked Questions
01
How Do I Get Started?
There are a couple of ways to get started with Omega Project. If you are ready to book an appointment, click the link below to schedule online.
If you have questions about what type of appointment to book, you can send us an email at customerservice@omegaprojectpt.com or call us at 302-570-7027.
If you are not ready to book or have questions about how we can help, you can schedule a discovery session at the link below. During a discovery session, we will talk about your injury and determine if we are the right fit for you or if we need to refer you to a different specialist.
02
Do I need a physician referral?
Delaware is a direct access state. You can see a physical therapist without a prescription or referral for up to 30 days. If you are still in need of physical therapy services after 30 days, a physician must be consulted.
For dry needling services, a prescription that specifically requests dry needling as a treatment is required from a physician.
03
Is treatment covered by insurance?
To provide the best quality of service, Omega Project is a fee-per-service physical therapy practice. We do not maintain any relationships with insurance so we can provide 100% one-on-one care.
Payment is taken via cash, check, credit, or HSA/FSA. We can provide a receipt (superbill) that will allow you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. Insurance plans vary greatly and we do not guarantee any reimbursement from your insurance company. We do not provide any documentation (chart/treatment notes) beyond the superbill.
04
How often should I expect to be seen?
We know your time is important to you. We provide one-on-one care from the highest level physical therapists and strive to make big changes in a small amount of time. Because of this, most patients can expect to see us one time per week with an average of about 4-6 follow-up visits. Treatment plans can vary greatly depending on the injury, your goals, and how much guidance you want.
Our goal is to provide you with enough information during the first visit so that you know exactly what to do to get better. We then provide further visits for one-on-one manual physical therapy, pain management, progression of home exercises, and movement retraining as needed.
05
Is the DuPont Country Club location for members only?
You do not have to be a member to see our physical therapists at the DuPont Country Club location. Our physical therapists at DCC specialize in seeing all athletes, especially those who swim or play golf or paddle sports.
01
Do you only treat runners?
While Omega Project was founded on our innovative approach to treating runners, we treat anyone who refuses to give up what they’re doing because of pain.
Our typical clients include runners, triathletes, tennis players, golfers, swimmers, high school athletes, and more.
02
What is the difference between a 'Full 3D Gait Analysis' and a '3D Gait Screen?'
A common question we get is whether it would be best for you to get a 3D Gait Screen or the Full 3D Gait Analysis.
If you are currently injured and/or have had a long history of injuries and/or are experiencing decreasing performance, we highly recommend the full analysis.
We will have ample time to talk about all aspects of your training and injuries as well as have time to make real time changes that can impact your injuries and performance right away.
The full analysis also allows us to prescribe a highly individualized program to help you meet your goals.
A SCREEN can still be a powerful tool, however. Scroll to the bottom of the page at the link below to view what each service has to offer.
